The official artwork for the upcoming expansion packs give a glimpse of things to come
CD Projekt RED must be on cloud 9 nowadays, with "The Witcher" series proving to be an extremely profitable investment. It now looks like the money and the acclaim will continue to follow with the release of the cover art for 2 upcoming expansion packs, which are titled "Heart of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" respectively.
The first expansion pack, Heart of Stone, has a planned release date in October and is rumored to include over ten hours of gameplay. The Witcher series is staying strong to its roots by providing an expansion that offers the fans sufficient amount of quality gaming time, and for that the developers must be commended.
The first expansion pack will take Geralt back to Oxenfurt and it will reacquaint players with the farming town and the mysteries associated with it. This time around Geralt will be tasked with completing a Witcher contract from an individual known as the Man Of Glass. This will be an interesting take, as early rumors have suggested that Geralt will be tangled in a web of lies and deceit, and treachery will follow him in his quest to complete the contract.
If that wasn’t enough, the second expansion pack, Blood and Wine, is going to be 20 hours long, with the story taking place in a brand new region known as Toussaint. The region, which has remained free from the clutches of war, houses a deep dark secret and it’s up to Geralt to once again solve the mystery of Toussaint.
The fans of the series will be overjoyed by the length of the expansions, and will be glad that the Witcher universe has gotten a stellar new addition in Toussaint.
