New Leaks Point To Massive Updates To Apple Inc.’s (AAPL) iPhone Camera

New rumors and videos have revealed that Apple will be updating the camera modules on the next generation iPhones

9to5Mac has received some more pictures and videos of the next generation Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 6s. These insights come to light as the company readies itself to launch a slew of products on September 9. The publication has received some new evidence from unnamed sources that shows the front-facing camera of the iPhone will receive an update with some bigger sensors. It was previously reported that Apple was contemplating a front flash to make “selfies” better. However, there will be no flash but the screen will show a short burst of light, similar to the Snapchat’s front flash.

9to5 received pictures of two phones, a white iPhone 6s and a black 6s Plus, presumably. Previously, the iPhone's front-facing camera was a 1.2MP, but we expect this to be upgraded to 5MP or anything more than 1.2MP, which will improve the front facing images substantially.

In addition, these pictures confirm that the company has finally fixed the protruding lens issue by updating the camera to 12MP, with the ability to shoot 4K HD video. The pictures also show a new sensor that was put in by the company, possibly for the Force Touch technology. This new component will be responsible for conveying the haptic feedback to the screen, which would let the user knows what function was selected. Force Touch will help users make use of the different shortcuts and gestures depending on how long they press the screen. The publication further states that the Home Button with the TouchID has a different type of assembly and the technology might get an upgrade this September.

The rumors about the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus seem to shape up quite well, and its surprising that all the rumors which showed up have also been confirmed. Around September, the features of the iPhone will more or less be known to the tech world. In case the company underdelivers, then all these rumors will move on to the next generation of the iPhone, and so on.

On the other hand, this year’s S upgrade has been dubbed the biggest ever, with features like a new A9 chip with 2GB of RAM, Force touch, upgraded camera, stronger body, and a new and improved TouchID system. On the other hand, if the battery hasn’t been upgraded then there could be a problem, as customers have always had issues with the battery life of iPhones. It was previously rumored that Apple may actually be decreasing the battery in the new phones, but the faster processor and RAM might make power consumption more efficient.

The camera upgrades to the iPhones will be one of the most phenomenal upgrades that the Cupertino-based company can provide to the customers. The acquisition of Israeli start-up LinX technology hashelped the company increase the megapixels of the camera while decreasing the size, making it possible for the company to remove the bump from the iPhones. The camera of the iPhone has been stuck at 8MP for a long time and it will be a treat to see a new and improved camera. Apple’s iPhone has already been dubbed as having one of the best cameras in the smartphone world and Apple is going to make sure it doesn’t let go of that title.
